UPU Privacy Notice


The UPU may process personal data in the course of the use of UPU applications and creation of a UPU account. Personal data processed by the UPU may, inter alia, include the User’s first and last name, address, telephone number and electronic address. The UPU shall process personal data provided by the User solely for the purposes for which it has been collected. The UPU may also contact the User regarding account status, to confirm registration and to advise the User of major changes to its applications and information technology systems.

Personal data processed by the UPU is provided willingly and directly by the User through UPU applications and the UPU website (including the www.upu.int website and its subdomains).

Any personal data collected by the UPU in accordance with this Notice shall be stored securely and may also be used by the UPU in an aggregated and anonymous manner (i.e. so as not to disclose individual personal data), strictly for the purposes of statistical and website traffic analysis.

The UPU shall not share, rent or sell User information (including personal data associated thereto) to third parties, unless these are engaged by the UPU as authorized providers with a view to performing certain services deemed necessary to fulfil the UPU’s mission and carry out the organization’s mandated activities as associated with the implementation and operation of UPU applications and accounts, as well as associated information technology systems. In this regard, such authorized providers shall be permitted to process and retain the User’s personal data in strict accordance with the relevant UPU instructions and policies, and for no longer than is necessary for the purposes of the activities referred to herein.
